Research Workshop for Critical Geography 2017 | 15.-18.06.2017 | Bremen, Germany
The Research Workshop for Critical Geography is for everyone who are interested in taking a critical perspective on geographical issues that are too often neglected in university teaching and academic research. Students and doctoral/PhD researchers alike are very much invited, no matter their number of semesters or project progress! For a few days, the workshop wants to create an autonomous space free from discrimination to learn from each other and exchange ideas beyond university hierarchies. Sessions can take the form of workshops, presentations, excursions, and open spaces, or any other format that the participants wish to experiment with.
Research Workshops have been held before in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Bonn, and Leipzig. Sessions have covered diverse subjects, such as social natural circumstances, post-colonial urban research, feminist and anarchist geography, critical teaching and science and their relation to activism, and many more.
